The line graph illustrates changes in the proportion of women aged between 15 and 64 who were employed in five different countries over a six-year period.
Overall, female employment levels were consistently highest in Iceland and lowest in Turkey throughout the period. While most countries experienced a gradual upward trend, Iceland showed a slight decline towards the end of the timeframe.
Iceland recorded the highest figures across all years, remaining relatively stable for most of the period before experiencing a modest reduction at the end. Canada also maintained a comparatively high level of female employment, with only minor fluctuations and a broadly steady pattern. Germany followed a gradual upward trajectory, with employment participation increasing steadily over time and narrowing the gap with Canada by the final year.
By contrast, Chile and Turkey exhibited substantially lower participation rates among women. Chile showed a clear and consistent rise throughout the period, with employment levels increasing incrementally each year. Turkey, despite remaining the lowest among the five countries, displayed a slight recovery after an initial decline, ending the period with a modest improvement compared to its earlier figures.
